- Thermal Brightness Temperature Prototype: SatVu is pleased to announce the release of our Thermal Brightness Temperature Prototype. The primary user group for this prototype are those who have an understanding of spectral radiance-to-brightness temperature usability in a product to support their mission. The Thermal Brightness Temperature Prototype results in an output with a more accurate measure of the radiance at the Earth’s surface by correcting for atmospheric effects, making it more suitable for quantitative analysis, monitoring, and time-series applications. Please note, radiance products are presently only valid for night-time data.
- Atmospherically corrected radiance provides a more accurate representation of the actual radiance at the ground level, making it suitable for a broader user group to exercise quantitative analysis and monitoring.
- Our users will all have the opportunity for enhanced comparative analysis when conducting comparisons between objects in the same scene or across different scenes, as this prototype better reflects true radiance differences, enhancing the reliability of monitoring changes over time.
